How to Bake Sweet Potato in an Air Fryer: A Simple Recipe

My family and I are huge fans of baked sweet potatoes, especially the ones from Don Don Donki. We’ve always wondered what makes their sweet potatoes so sweet and moist. Well, my mum discovered a way to bake sweet potatoes in the air fryer that comes out just like the ones from Don Don Donki!

I recently bought some uncooked sweet potatoes from Don Don Donki and tried baking them using my Ninja Foodi. The result? A moist, sweet, and delicious sweet potato—just like Don Don Donki’s! 😍 Now, I can stock up on uncooked sweet potatoes from Don Don Donki and bake them whenever I want.

Baked Sweet Potato Air Fryer Recipe

Ingredients:

  • Sweet potatoes (fresh, uncooked)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 180°C (356°F).
  2. Place the sweet potatoes in the air fryer and bake for 10 minutes.
  3. After 10 minutes, take the sweet potatoes out and place them back in the air fryer.
  4. Repeat the process until the sweet potatoes are completely soft and tender (I usually repeat 3-4 times).

Pro Tip: Use a chopstick to check if it can easily poke through the sweet potato. Once it does, it’s ready!

This baked sweet potato recipe is a great addition to our meals, and my 3 boys absolutely love it! I even mix it into Davis’ porridge, and he enjoys it so much.

  2. Soak sweet potatoes in salt water for 15 mins.
  3. Wipe Dry
  4. Place the sweet potatoes in the air fryer and bake for 30 minutes.
  5. Soak in Ice water for 1 min
  6. Wipe Dry
  7. Bake the sweet potatoes in airfryer for another 15 mins
