Famous Treasure~ A treasure hidden Capitol Piazza! You may find them familiar as they also have another casual restaurant at sembawang – Famous Kitchen. The culinary team at Famous Treasure has curated a unique menu which showcases predominantly Nanyang cuisine (nostalgic dishes of Teochew, Hokkien, and Cantonese descent with influences from Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia). This eclectic menu is representative of Singapore’s diverse gastronomy and cultural heritage.

The restaurant has an elegant and contemporary interior and can accommodate up to 150 diners. There are also four private rooms which can be used for private events and celebrations.
Food
Their culinary team has crafted auspicious celebratory set menus (range from S$258++ for 4 diners to S$1498++ for 10 diners). Their set menus showcase nostalgic dishes of Teochew, Hokkien, Cantonese and Hainanese heritage with influences from Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia. Southeast Asian Cuisine!
Cherry Tomatoes
I love this appetizer. The cherry tomatoes is soaked with plum juice! So refreshing and addictive! Don’t miss this!
Prosperity Shun De Yu Sheng 顺德鱼生
This is a refreshing change from our usual Toss Prosperity Yusheng! We don’t need to toss. Just enjoy the cold delicious fresh hamachi sashimi with the crunchy yam sticks and other vegetables! This Shunde Yu Sheng is available as an à la carte order and on normal days too. You just made a 3 days advance notice with them and you can enjoy it not just during Chinese New Year period! (Dine-in: $118++ for Small, $180++ for Large, Takeaway: $118+ for Small, $180+ for Large). There is no service charge for takeaway. For our Toss Yusheng lovers, don’t be disappointed. They also offer Prosperity Salmon and Abalone Yu Sheng (发财鲍鱼三文鱼捞生) which is available in their celebratory cny set menus.
Roasted “Silver Hill” Irish Duck 爱尔兰金牌烧肥鸭
Their Signature dish which is also on in many of the CNY Set Menus. The This dish is also available on the CNY à la carte menu at S$58++ for half a duck and S$108++ for a whole duck. The duck is so juicy and the meat is so tender with crisp skin.
Chicken Soup with Morel Mushroom and Peach Gum 羊肚菌桃胶炖鸡汤
This is available on the CNY à la carte menu at S$68++ for medium and S$138++ for large. Wow the soup feel so nutritious and it also very flavourful. I love that they add peach gum! It is the resin from peach and Chinese wild peach trees. A natural and healthy food rich in amino acid, which allows collagen to be quickly absorbed into the human body. Often, we don’t eat the chicken in chicken soup as we feel it is dry and tasteless. The chicken in this soup is very tender and bursting with flavours! Dont’ miss the chicken meat if you try this dish!
Wok-fried Prawn Ball with Traditional “Nanyang” Style 南洋风味炒虾球
This is available on the CNY à la carte menu at S$36++ for small, S$54++ for medium and S$72++ for large. Oh wow this is delicious! I love how succulent and fresh prawns this is. Coated with the amazing sauce. So addictive! It was so hard to stop myself from having more! haha
Steamed Marble Goby “Fisherman Stye” 渔夫蒸笋壳
The fish was very fresh and the meat was very delicate and light. There are quite a lot of bones so be careful when you are eating it.
Prosperity Fortune Treasure Pot (Pre Order)发财盆菜
This is a available on both the CNY Takeaway Menu and CNY à la carte menu. Dine-in: S$388 ++ for Small, S$588++ for Large and Takeaway: S$388+ for Small (6 diners), S$588+ for Large (10 diners). Wow it is indeed a pot of treasure! It has all my favourites like abalone, prawns, scallops and etc. It is so flavourful. It is an awesome dish for sharing. Great for chinese new year gathering. You can just buy a pot and it will be the perfect centerpiece for your party! There is also a promotion for their treasure pot, if you buy a small treasure pot, you can enjoy a complimentary small Lo Hei Salmon Yu Sheng. Likewise if you buy the large treasure pot, complimentary large Lo Hei Salmon Yu Sheng.
Other Signature Dishes
Seafood dishes are one of the main highlights of the restaurant. Cockles fans will love the Marinated Cockles ‘Teochew Style’ comprising fresh, plump and juicy cockles topped with a piquant homemade chilli sauce. The Live Flower Crab Baked with Rock Salt is very flavourful and the fragrance is so addictive. My favourite is the Traditional Fish Head Curry in Claypot. The gravy is rich, creamy and flavourful and brims with lady’s finger, eggplant and tau pok (dried bean curd puff). For those who prefer a tangy version, you can opt for the equally famed Assam Fish Head Curry in Claypot. The gravy was flavourful and not overly spicy. The spiciness level was just right for me! Perfect to go with Rice. The fish is also fresh and the meat was tender and flaky! The portion was very generous! Love the vegetables that goes with it. Especially my favourite okra. The roast pork is also very tender with crispy skin. There is also comfort food like K.L. Style Hokkien Mee.
Dessert
An amazing meal must end beautifully with delicious desserts. I enjoyed their smooth Mashed Taro with Gingko Nut and Pumpkin (a classic Teochew dessert)!
